Wye Cottage

Stone Art is situated in Wye Cottage which dates back to 1649.  We have sold our jewellery from this lovely location since 2002 although we have been selling our jewellery in other parts of the UK since 1995.

We share this lovely period cottage with our neighbours  Bloomers Bakewell Puddings. Granby Cottage is joined on to Wye Cottage which is now occupied by Tiroler Stuberl the Austrian coffee shop.

Stone Art Bakewell
Stone Art Bakewell is situated at Wye Cottage

Tiroler Stuberl is an Austrian Coffee shop owned by Joe and Julie Liechtfried. They import delicious sausages direct from Vienna and have the most divine home-made Apfel Strudel crafted to Joe’s gran’s recipe.

They sell a dazzling array of coffees, sandwiches and mouth-watering speciality soups. Bakewell tarts and puddings are also available.

Sit upstairs amongst the ancient wooden beams and Austrian decor or chill out in the courtyard and get waited upon by the friendliest waiters in town.

If you are lucky you’ll get served by their son Tim who writes the most fantastic poetry….a tip may induce a verse or two !

Bloomers is owned by Mr Ryan Hutchinson. They sell “the original and only” recipe for the famous Bakewell Pudding…not to be confused with the Tart which is also delicious of course ! They also sell a lovely selection of local cheese and other cakes, breads and savouries from their Bakewell bakery. Their passion for what they create mirrors the passion we have for jewellery and it is why so many people visit them to sample their famous Bakewell Pudding. They even operate a post-a-pudding service which we have often made use of !

Once you’ve tasted their Bloomers Original Bakewell Pudding, there’s no going back !
